The wise men are honest people or cheaters? “Palabra de Mago” is the last theatrical production of magician Jorge Blass, known to the public of the Kursaal, in which he reflects on the exciting world of magicians.
In this scenic proposal, Jorge Blass explores the essence of magic, and updates the art of prestidigitation in the 21st century. No longer rabbits appear or disappear or magical wands are used, but digital tablets or cell phones. We’ll see it in ‘Word of the Wizard’, where, with a current staging, it uses audiovisual projections and a trio of dancers completely reinvented with respect to classical magic helmets.
The new Jorge Blass will leave us with no words, we will experience a memorable experience and we will be delighted by his extraordinary way of doing magic.

There is a new resource that everyone wants … Forget about rare water, petroleum and minerals: it’s our time. An investigation that shows how time has become a currency of change and how can we claim the control of this resource, precious but finite.
Who has not been in the situation of having to print our own boarding passes, check-in our own luggage or have spent hours assembling a piece of furniture, saving companies a fortune in spending labor? Have you ever wondered who should pay for everything we do for free with our time? We travel through the world to discover how our time has become a lucrative merchandise and how it consumes our work and personal life.
the Concha Milla
Thursday, May 17 – 9:00 p.m.
‘Refractions’ is the first text of the actress Concha Milla, who on this occasion signs the text and direction of a piece that has a lot of herself, an honest and sincere work, that speaks of personal desires, of the Incommunication, the dreams that still wait in some drawer …
‘Refractions’ is the story of a couple in crisis, treated with a lot of comedy, clearly referential (we find winks in Cortázar or Woody Allen), with a staggering, fast paced and two classic actors of the Flyhard, Sergio Matamala and the manresaana Alícia Puertas, who have become full and dedicated accomplices of Milla and who are in a state of grace.

Scientists say that about thirteen billion years ago, a great explosion originated our Universe. In the first moments of its existence, we created the four dimensions that we now call “spacetime”: three of space and a time. Four forces were also separated already in the first second of life: the electromagnetic force, the two nuclear forces – strong and weak – and the gravitational force. Also from these first moments, the particles appear: protons, electrons, neutrons. In these beginnings, everything has the form of a kind of chaotic and incandescent soup. Then, the Universe progresses and the temperature, extremely hot, is gradually cooling down. This cooling causes the particles to start clumping between each other. And that’s how the atoms will begin to appear: combinations of neutron nuclei and protons with electrons by turning them around. And the universe will cool even more and the atoms will be combined among them by forming molecules.
And the molecules will join each other, et cetera. In this way, what we call “matter” is created. The Universe will continue to advance in the temporal dimension and will cool down more and more, and all combinations of particles that will form galaxies, nebulae, stars, planets … In one of them, called Terra, Years later, these combinations of particles and elements will produce water and other components that will make life come to life. And life will create beings with the capacity to observe and recreate all this history: the music of the Universe.
These are our recommendations for this month of May. We invite you to share with your friends and family. Thanks.
