VÍCTOR ULLATE BALLET
‘The love wizard’
Saturday, March 3 – 9:00 p.m.
After almost 4 years, Víctor Ullate Ballet returns to the Kursaal with a review of ‘El Amor Brujo’ that premiered in May 1994 at the Teatro de la Maestranza in Seville and renews it with a new set design and costumes, giving more prominence to the light.
In addition, this version is a musical break with the inclusion of the group of dark ambient In Slaughter Natives, which adds to the musical effects created by Luis Delgado for the original version and lead the viewer to a journey between the life and death, a journey to the beyond.
The work, written by Falla at the beginning of the 20th century, and of marked Andalusian character, delves into the gypsy mysticism, approaching love in its most primitive and essential form. Tells the story of Candela, a gypsy girl, in love with Carmelo, who is tormented by the specter of her former lover. A story of love and passion, of tears and sorrow, of witchcraft and seduction, death and dance.
An unmissable event for lovers of dance.

THE WOMEN OF FRANK
from Mónica Pérez Blázquez
Wednesday, March 21 – 6:00 PM
“Bobby-soxer” is a sociological invention of 1940 that describes the often very enthusiastic fans of traditional pop music, in particular, the singer Frank Sinatra. The Bobby Soxers were in general, adolescent women and young adults between 12 and 25 years old wearing “poodle” skirts and short socks at the ankle.
Cris, the Navy, the Jou and Carla remember moments lived with La Nona, a fascinating woman who discovers that in her youth in the United States (she was of Italian origin and lived in New Jersey), it was an authentic Bobby Soxer! She will invite you to take a trip through the life of Frank Sinatra through her companions, other fans who, like her, lived her youth, following, supporting and unconditionally loving her idol.
Musical show dedicated to the great Frank Sinatra, in which songs, anecdotes, stories and lots of humor are combined!
These are our recommendations for this month of March. We invite you to share with your friends and family. Thank you.
